A hearty welcome to the website of the De Kluft Recreational Centre.
| This centre is located on the border between the provinces Friesland (Frisia) and Overijssel, in the heart of the Weerribben-Wieden National Park.
The Weerribben-Wieden National Park is a low-lying marshland area of 10,000 hectares, and in 2004 was hailed as “the most beautiful location in the Netherlands.” The landscape is characterised by a huge variety of water, reedy areas, meadowlands and swamp forests. It is also home to many varieties of flora and fauna.
De Kluft Recreational Centre is an ideal location for a holiday, someplace to stay during your walking/cycling/sailing trip, for a family or corporate event, or an active/relaxing pursuit during a day out. We have a campsite with a yacht marina, hotel, restaurant and group accommodation facilities. We are also the right place to come to for hiring canoes, whisper boats, sloops and bicycles.
In short, there are plenty of options for exploring the Weerribben-Wieden National Park! From April through October, we are open 7 days a week. From November through March we are open by arrangement, and if you have any questions, you can always reach us by telephone or e-mail.

Cycling and sailing through Giethoorn and the Weerribben-Wieden N. P.
Packages of several days to explore that natural environment and exceptional villages in the top of Overijssel are available in collaboration with Bed & Breakfast Mol Groenewegen.At our premises in Ossenzijl, your coffee with tart and bicycles are ready for you on the first day, and in the evenings you enjoy a delicious three-course dinner in our restaurant. After a good night’s rest and a delicious breakfast, you go on a water excursion by whisper boat with a nice full picnic basket through the beautiful Weerribben landscape.In the afternoon you travel to Giethoorn, the green Venice of the Netherlands, with your own transport. Mooring available in 2010
We now have berths for boats 8 metres and longer in our marina. You can choose for a summer or a year berth.
